Daniel Buck - 3d Artist

Here are a few stills from some of the projects I have worked on since 2005, most of which while working at Sway Studio and Method Studios.

The majority of my duties consist of lighting and shader work, as well as general scene setup, camera work, texturing, rendering, and nailing down 'the look' in 3d. A bit of compositing and animation here and there.

For the automotive related projects specifically, my duties also consisted of vehicle prep, cleanup, and setup from CAD and scanned models, and general modifications to the vehicles to help meet product accuracy and other expectations.

When needed, I've also been on-set to take photos for texture use, photogrammetry and general reference, as well as capturing HDR images to aid with matching the lighting and reflections. Assembled/stitched flat and spherical HDRs, backplates and grounds.

With the exception of a few projects, most of what you see here is 100% CG. I've been a lead 3d artist on a number of these projects.
